JSC “Plava” took party again in the International Forum “Dairy Industry” in Moscow. Our products still attract interest of dairy processors from Russia, CIS and other countries. The stall of the company was visited by companies from Austria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Ukraine. The negotiations with the Indian company “Chadha Sales” about the continuation of cooperation were carried out directly at the exhibition. The backtofugers, sets of equipment and milk cleaners, including cleaners for removal of somatic cells, produced by our enterprise provoked great interest.

Thus, JSC “Plavsk Engineering Works “Plava” is one of the main players on the Russian market of dairy equipment. It takes the lead over “Westfalia Separator Food Tech” and achieves the results compared with “DeLaval” and “Tetra Pak”. Market of Dairy equipment. The Abercade Consulting Research Company carried out a series of monitoring of the food equipment market. At present the market capacity of the dairy equipment is about $170000000. The part of imported equipment dominates in the Russian market. According to the results of 2005, France has become a leading importer. Its share made up 37% of volumes of imported equipment, it is followed by Germany – 15%, Italy – 12%, Sweden – 10%, Poland – 8%. The overall quota of the first five importing countries made up 82% of volumes of imported equipment in 2005. Shares of others countries is less than 18%. As a result of the rating of trade marks, imported in 2005, Boccard products (France) were the most popular. Its share was 20% of volumes of imported equipment, it is followed by Tetra Pak (Sweden) – 20%, DeLaval – 8%, Gecona Tec – 7%, Westfalia Separator Food Tech – 5%. The overall quota of the first five imported trade marks was 51% in 2005. As a result of inquiry of the first-rate Russian manufacturers, during the last years the growth of equipment output makes up 10%. The first fives of the rating of the leading Russian manufacturers includes JSC “Plavsk Engineering Works Smychka” (Plavsk), “Molmash” (Moscow), JSC “Oskon” (Glazov), LLC “Ecomash”, JSC “Nekrasovo Engineering Works” (Nekrasovskoe). The overall quota of the five leaders makes up about 40% of volumes of production. The shares of others companies is about 5% apiece. As a whole in 2005 the share of exported equipment in volumes in domestic production is about 25%. Equipment is exported mainly in CIS (Uzbekistan – 14%, Ukraine – 13%, Kazakhstan – 13%, Azerbaijan – 7%, Turkmenia – 14%, Armenia – 4%) as well as China (13%) and Iran (11%). The following companies became the main players in the Russian market (Boccard – 16%, Tetra Pak – 8%, DeLaval – 6%, JSC “Plavsk Engineering Works Smychka” – 6%, Westfalia Separator Food Tech – 4%, others – 60%). Foreign companies create hard pressure in the dairy equipment market. The main reasons, tilting the balance to the advantage of imported equipment are as follows: wider range of equipment and the growing requirements of the Russian market. In spite of the large number of companies-manufacturers the market lacks bellyful offers. It makes easier for new market players to enter the Russian market. Taking into account the state of food and food processing enterprises, wear of the basic production assets of which makes up 60%, the dairy equipment market will be undersated within the next few years.
